Zimbabwean flower artists are once again headed for a world-class floral art show. After clinching gold and top honours at previous international competitions, Zimbabwe has been invited to participate in the World Association of Floral Artists (WAFA) showcase in Sydney, Australia.
The invitation includes a Zimbabwean floral artist selected to deliver a 20-minute demonstration on the international stage, alongside a Zimbabwean internationally qualified floral art judge. In the background are other Zimbabwean floral artists, themselves past gold medal winners, who are also keen to represent the country should resources allow.
To help capacitate the representatives, the National Association of Garden Clubs (NAGC) is hosting its first fundraiser quiz, designed as a relaxed Saturday afternoon that blends good company, friendly competition and a subtle taste of global ambition. The event brings together garden lovers, trivia enthusiasts and supporters of Zimbabwean excellence for an easygoing social gathering with purpose.
