Zimbabwean hip-hop stars Saintfloew and Voltz JT will headline this year’s Shoko Festival Mash Up Night alongside rising rapper Mugaratia, as the country’s longest-running urban culture festival returns to Harare Gardens on September 25, 2026.
The event, which forms part of the festival’s 16th edition, will bring together established and emerging urban musicians, with Saintfloew making his Shoko Festival debut.
Saintfloew has gained popularity with songs such as Uchazondida and Gucci N Dior and is expected to headline a night celebrating Zimbabwe’s hip-hop and urban music culture.
“I can’t wait to tear up the Shoko stage. I’ve been waiting for this moment! This is going to be a really unique performance so don’t miss it!” he said.
Voltz JT will return to the festival as a headliner, bringing his socially conscious lyrics and distinctive hip-hop style to the stage.
“I’m so excited to be performing at the Shoko Festival Mash Up Night. Last time I was there it was amazing! I hope you bring the same energy. Let’s celebrate culture and music together on the 25th of September,” he said.
Mugaratia, who performed at the 2024 edition of the festival’s Peace In The Hood event in Chitungwiza, will also return, with organisers highlighting his growth since his previous appearance.
The line-up also features rising songstress Xiba, who will make her Shoko Festival debut, as well as Bulawayo-based artist Bhila, known for blending Afro-soul and Mbaqanga.

Unlike conventional concerts, this year’s Mash Up Night will see the performers backed by a full band, with organisers promising a different live music experience.
Mash Up Night curator Dennis Shoko said the event was designed to showcase the different forms of Zimbabwean hip-hop while creating a safe environment for audiences to enjoy the music.
“When putting together the Mash Up Night lineup, the idea was really to celebrate ZimHipHop in all its different forms. These are artists who have shaped the culture, artists who are carrying it forward, and audiences who have grown up alongside the music,” he said.
“This is a safe and mature environment to watch ZimHipHop acts. Come through!”
The festival will also feature the third edition of Mashoko Tapes, a music residency programme that brings Mash Up Night performers together to create an original album.
The third volume will feature Supermuno, Millz Million, Easy Ice, Luigi Badgenna and Hooksmith alongside Bhila, with the album set to be released ahead of the festival.
DJ MadeHerBelieve will close the line-up with a DJ set.
Shoko Festival, a project of Magamba Network, has become a major platform for alternative youth culture, free expression and urban music in Zimbabwe.
Tickets are priced at US$10 for early-bird purchases and US$15 at the gate. They are available online through the Shoko Festival website, at Elixir Liquor Stores nationwide and at Moto Republik in Harare.
The festival will take place at Harare Gardens on September 25, 2026.
