Zimbabwe and Belarus are targeting US$100 million in mutual trade by 2030 as the two countries expand economic cooperation under a new five-year roadmap.
Belarusian Ambassador to Zimbabwe Yury Nikalaichyk said the 2026–2030 Roadmap covers trade, e-commerce, food security, industrial cooperation, tourism, education, healthcare and export promotion.
“The 2026–2030 Roadmap is a comprehensive instrument, compiling joint projects in various spheres,” Nikalaichyk said.
The US$100 million target was agreed by the two countries’ leaders and will be used to measure progress in bilateral trade by 2030.
Agricultural mechanisation remains an important part of the partnership, but the ambassador said cooperation goes beyond the supply of farm machinery.
“Agricultural mechanization is the tip of the iceberg,” he said.

The two countries are also working on the modernisation of grain storage facilities, supply of electrical equipment, transformers, medicines, medical products and baby food.
Discussions are also underway on bus assembly and waste processing using technology from Belarusian company Sifania-Ekotekhnika.
The partnership is also expanding into education, with plans to increase the number of specialists and widen the fields covered.
Belarus is exploring cooperation in veterinary vaccines, while its companies are interested in establishing a joint venture to produce aseptic solutions for use in medicine and agriculture.
The two countries are also looking at agro-drones and digitalisation projects.
Nikalaichyk said Belarus was open to importing Zimbabwean products and was working to simplify trade between Zimbabwe and the Eurasian Economic Union.
The roadmap will be monitored by the Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation, which can review progress and adjust projects as conditions change.
