Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare (MCLSW) has announced that Zimbabwe and the Islamic Republic have reached consensus to hold a joint economic commission in Tehran.
Hamed Forouzan, an advisor to the minister of cooperatives, labor and social welfare and the head of International Affairs Office of said on Wednesday that in a meeting with Zimbabwe’s charge d'affaires in Iran Never Mutizwa, the two sides discussed topics of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) for the future joint economic commission of both countries.
Forouzan explained the charts and duties of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare in the meeting with the Zimbabwean diplomat.
Mutizwa pointed to the appropriate political and social interactions between Zimbabwe and Iran, calling for expansion of trade and economic ties between the two countries.
A joint commission is an effective forum to discuss extensively the bi-lateral relationship between the two countries. Discussion take stock of activities implemented so far as agreed during the previous meetings and foster future avenues of cooperation.
