A man who took advantage of his brother's absence and had sex with his 12-year-old lover, has appeared at Harare Magistrates’ Courts charged with rape.
Caos Njodzi, 20, of Waterfalls, appeared before magistrate Stanford Mambanje.
The State, alleges that on July 10, 2023 at around 0900 hours, the complainant went to Njodzi’s house looking for her lover and found Njodzi, who told her that her boyfriend had gone to the rural areas.
Njodzi asked to enter the house where she sat on the bed while Njodzi was doing household chores.
After that, he joined the girl on the bed and started fondling and caressing her body.
Njodzi asked for sex from her and she accepted.
The complainant had consensual sex with Njodzi and after that she went to her friend’s house in Hopely.
