Prosecutor Kanchelskis Ropi told the court that between January 1 and May 2, 2026, Freemantle was renting a house from Mupanduki under a lease agreement.
It is alleged that during the tenancy, she caused extensive damage to the property before moving out without informing the landlord.
The court heard that Mupanduki was alerted by neighbours that the accused had vacated the house. Upon visiting the premises, he allegedly confirmed that she had left.
A subsequent inspection reportedly revealed damage to several parts of the property, including broken windows, damaged doors, shattered glass panes, faulty locks and destroyed electrical fittings.
The total value of the damage is estimated at US$1 500.
A police report was later filed, leading to Freemantle’s arrest.
