
President Emmerson Mnangagwa has commended his Cabinet Ministers for their consistent commitment to attending Cabinet meetings and diligently implementing resolutions throughout the past year, acknowledging that their dedication has been instrumental in driving "invaluable progress" for the benefit of ordinary citizens.
Speaking on the performance of his executive team, the President praised the level of participation demonstrated by the Ministers. However, he stated that there was still significant room for improvement, underscoring the vital importance of Cabinet meetings. He strongly emphasised that these meetings must take precedence over all other government proceedings.

President Mnangagwa used the opportunity to challenge his Ministers to engage in deep reflection regarding the targets they had set at the commencement of the year. He called upon them to continually and thoroughly analyse all memoranda generated from their respective Ministries before submitting them for Cabinet’s consideration. This directive aims to ensure that proposals brought before the executive are robust and well-vetted.
The President concluded his remarks with an optimistic outlook, stressing that sustained collective efforts and unity of purpose by the Cabinet Ministers will undoubtedly result in sustained progress and remarkable success across all sectors of the economy, ensuring continued advancement for the nation.
