The ruling ZANU PF has appointed retired General Phillip Valerio Sibanda to its Politburo with immediate effect, according to an official party statement issued on Monday.
In a communication dated May 11, 2026, the party confirmed that the appointment was made by President and First Secretary Emmerson Mnangagwa in line with provisions of the party constitution.
