The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority has expressed excitement in the upcoming annual edition of the Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo, which will be held in the City of Bulawayo from October 12 to 14, 2023.
The 2023 Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo brings together key players and stakeholders in the worldwide tourism industry, offering a platform for collaboration, networking and showcasing the best of the country’s rich tourism prospects.
The current year’s expo toast to dynamism, untapped potential and resilience of Zimbabwe as a tourism destination.
ZTA Chief Executive Officer, Winnie Muchanyuka said the expo was going to prove and market the country.
She said visitors were supposed to brace themselves for variety of engaging and interactive activities during the expo as there will be educational workshops meant to foster knowledge sharing, networking sessions to ensure collaboration among industry experts and also hold an awards ceremonies to honour and celebrate outstanding participation.
“An exciting array of activities awaits participants. These will include business-to-business meetings for industry players and buyers. A Tourism investment forum will be held to showcase opportunities that are available to potential tourism sector investors.
“The aviation sector will also converge to talk about various issues affecting the aviation sector. A career guidance session will be held for the upcoming tourism leaders. Buyers will take up the usual destination site visits in the different locations across the destination to get an understanding of what the country’s incredible tourist attractions offer,” she said.
Muchanyuka urged aspiring players who want to show their products to come to the expo as it was the rightful platform to grow their businesses.
“We’re encouraging the upcoming tourism players who have difficulties in accessing the market to come and register as exhibitors and be able to use this platform to market their facilities to the broader tourism family and more so to the visiting international buyers,” said Muchanyuka.
Registration for the 2023 edition of the Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo is now open and can be completed online. “Space is quickly running out. Attendees are encouraged to register early to secure their place at this prestigious event,” added Muchanyuka.
With a diverse range of destinations, wildlife, heritage, culture, and adventure offerings, Africa is emerging as a top choice for travellers worldwide. The Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo aims to highlight Zimbabwe’s unique position within this burgeoning tourism landscape.
