Parliament Commends SADC Award-Winning Sports Journalist Nyakwenda

The Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Sports and Recreation has extended its highest commendations to veteran sportswriter Langton Nyakwenda following his landmark victory at the regional Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Media Awards.

Nyakwenda, a respected journalist known for his in-depth feature writing and storytelling, was recently crowned the SADC Sports Journalist of the Year at a prestigious ceremony held in Luanda, Angola. The regional accolade recognizes his extensive coverage and dedication to chronicling Southern African sports.

Speaking on behalf of the legislative body, the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Sports and Recreation, Farai Jere, expressed immense pride in Nyakwenda’s achievement, noting that the victory has shone a positive spotlight on the nation's media fraternity.
