Moswela Retires as Seed Co International Director

 

Seed Co International Limited has announced the retirement of Non-Executive Director Ms Kushatha Moswela, bringing to a close her tenure on the board of the regional seed producer.

The company said Moswela's retirement took effect on April 1, 2026, although she will continue serving during her contractual notice period until May 31, 2026, when her departure becomes final.

In a notice to shareholders, the board paid tribute to Moswela's contribution to the company over the years.

"The Board expresses its sincere appreciation to Ms Kushatha Moswela for her distinguished service and valuable contribution to the Company's growth and success across its markets," the company said.

It added: "It wishes her well in her future endeavours."

Seed Co International said Moswela's continued availability during the notice period would help ensure a smooth transition before her retirement becomes effective at the end of May.

The company also assured shareholders that there were no outstanding issues related to her departure.

"The Board confirms that there are no further matters requiring disclosure in respect of Ms Kushatha Moswela's retirement in terms of the applicable listing requirements of the Botswana Stock Exchange and the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange," the notice read.

The announcement was signed by Company Secretary E.M. Kalaote on behalf of the board on May 21, 2026.

Seed Co International is one of Africa's leading seed companies, operating across several markets on the continent and supplying seed varieties to commercial and smallholder farmers. 

The company is listed on both the Botswana Stock Exchange and the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange.
