Zimbabwe will not participate in the 2026 edition of the Man of the World international pageant after local organisers withdrew the country’s representation following academic scheduling conflicts involving the selected delegates.
Misters of Zimbabwe said the decision was taken after examination timetables for both the primary winner and replacement delegate clashed with preparations for the international competition, forcing organisers to prioritise education over pageantry.
The development marks a rare withdrawal for Zimbabwe from the international male pageantry platform and comes as local modelling institutions increasingly place emphasis on academic and professional development alongside entertainment and public image.
Officials said the organisation’s People First.policy guided the decision, arguing that academic commitments could not be sacrificed for international competition appearances.
Misters of Zimbabwe stated that the organisation remained committed to producing representatives who embody intellectual, cultural and professional excellence.
