Fastjet Zimbabwe is set to launch long-anticipated direct flights between Bulawayo and Victoria Falls, responding to years of calls from travelers and tourism stakeholders.
“The new Bulawayo to Victoria Falls flight strengthens our presence in Bulawayo and underscores our commitment to the development of tourism region,” said Nunurai Ndawana, the spokesperson of fastjet Zimbabwe. “Our four times a week flights will offer more travel opportunities and support both leisure and corporate travel between the two cities, reaffirming our position as a key airline partner in connecting the Matabeleland region”.
The new domestic service will commence on Friday, August 8, 2025, and operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flights depart Bulawayo at 13:25 hrs. and land in Victoria Falls at 14:20 hrs. Return flights take off at 14:50 hrs, arriving back in Bulawayo by 15:45 hrs.
Fastjet will deploy its Embraer fleet for the short-haul route and views the route as a strategic boost to its Bulawayo presence and a firm commitment to supporting Zimbabwe’s tourism and travel ecosystem.
Fastjet management said the launch follows years of research, consultations with industry stakeholders, and sustained monitoring of travel demand between the two cities.
The move is expected to benefit both leisure and business travelers, unlocking new opportunities for tourism, trade, and regional economic integration.
