Two employees allegedly stole their employer's car and later abandoned it after being involved in a road traffic accident.
Kudakwashe Zaranyika, 25, and Peter Penzura, 33, both of Glenlone, appeared before magistrate Ethel Chichera at the Harare Magistrate's Courts charged with using a car without the owner's consent.
The two were granted a US$100 bail and will appear in court on September 6, 2024.
The State, through prosecutor Rufaro Chonzi, alleges that on August 23, 2024, the two accused who are both employees of the complainant took their employer's car away from home.
They allegedly drove a Toyota Harrier and were later involved in a road traffic accident along Enterprise road near Chigayo INN and they abandoned the motor vehicle.
