
A Zimbabwean man ,34, has been arrested in Midrand SA for impersonating a police officer.
The Zimbabwean man is one of three suspects arrested for on Wednesday, 26 October.
The suspects were arrested along the R562 Road in Midrand by Gauteng Traffic Police conducting a routine checks.
Gauteng Traffic Police spokesperson, Sello Maremane said Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department officers stopped the white Nissan NP 300 and found the licence disc suspicious.
The officers asked the occupants to step out of the vehicle.
One of them who was dressed in an EMPD uniform turned out to be a Zimbabwean national.

Maremane said the officers established that the suspects were not EMPD officers.
The suspects offered to bribe a R20 000 bribe to evade arrest.
The Gauteng Traffic Police recovered two full sets of EMPD uniforms, 3 x traffic officers reflective jackets, EMPD boots, Jammers with 10 aerials and a car battery, Panga, 4 cellphones, and a replica Z 88/Beretta 9mm firearm.
The suspects were arrested and detained at Midrand police station. The vehicle was impounded.
All three suspects are expected to appear at the Midrand Magistrates Court on Thursday on charges relating to unlawful possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition and impersonating a law enforcement officer and corruption.
