A 37-year-old woman from Katsande Village in Mubaira, Mhondoro, Shamiso Isaya was yesterday arrested in a case of infanticide after she threw her two minor children in a well.
Isaya threw her five-month-old and three-year-old children after she had a dispute with her husband.

In a statement by the Zimbabwe Republic Police, Isaya tossed the two children in a 17-metre-deep well, resulting in the death of the five-month-old infant.
The three-year-old was reportedly rescued from the well by neighbours and was rushed to the clinic where he was treated and discharged.
