The Zimbabwe Republic Police have launched an investigation after an unidentified man was on Monday morning found dead in a car outside Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals, Harare.
The man is suspected to have been murdered as he was found with blood stains on his body and wounds on the chest and stomach, lying in the back seat of the vehicle which was parked near the main gate along Mazowe Street.
Lameck Kwari, who is one of the first witnesses to arrive at the scene said when he arrived the man was already dead.
“I was one of the first to arrive. I saw the man and touched him on his stomach to see if he was still alive, but unfortunately, he was already dead. I rushed to the police to report. It is really sad,” he said.
Incidents of this nature have left members of the community worried over lack of respect for human life.
Another witness said, ‘‘This is sad and scary at the same time. How can people be so heartless?”
‘‘We are no longer safe at all when people find it easy to kill like this. I don’t know what happened to this man but he did not deserve to die like this,’’ the witness said.
