Two people were killed and five others injured when the vehicle they were travelling in was involved in an accident at the 215km peg along the Harare-Mutare highway.
Police confirmed the fatal occurance which happened around 1300 hours on Tuesday, February 21.
According to a report on the ZRP official twitter handle, the Toyota Wish vehicle, with seven passengers on board, veered off the road and rammed onto a culvert. It rolled several times before landing on its wheels in a swampy area.
The bodies of the victims are at Rusape General Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem, while the injured are admitted at the same hospital.
