Shingai Group from Harare Province emerged victorious at the 2026 Chibuku NeShamwari Traditional Dance Festival national finals held at Harare Gardens on Saturday, walking away with the top prize of US$15 000.
The festival, which celebrates Zimbabwe's rich cultural heritage through traditional music and dance, was sponsored by Delta Beverages in partnership with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ). It brought together the country's finest traditional dance groups for a colourful showcase of talent and creativity.
Tsutsube from Matabeleland Province claimed second place and received US$10 000, while Dapurahunanzva from Manicaland Province finished third and walked away with US$7 500.

The competition provided a platform for traditional dance groups from across Zimbabwe to showcase their cultural expressions through energetic performances, vibrant costumes and captivating routines that entertained the audience.
The event was further enlivened by performances from some of Zimbabwe's biggest artists, including Jah Prayzah, Baba Harare, Nisha T and the Chillspot Family, who thrilled the crowd with their popular songs and kept fans entertained throughout the festival.
Members of the public were also given an opportunity to showcase their dancing talents, adding to the lively atmosphere as fans joined in the celebrations.
The Chibuku NeShamwari Traditional Dance Festival continues to play a key role in promoting and preserving Zimbabwe's cultural heritage while providing a platform for traditional dance groups to gain national recognition.
