According to prosecutors, the three accused and the deceased were all admitted to Cell 9.

The court heard that the accused allegedly accused the deceased of being violent before acting together to restrain him.

Prosecutors allege that they used strips of a blanket to tie the deceased’s hands and legs behind his back while he was lying face down on the floor.

The State further alleges that the accused covered the deceased’s head with a jacket and a towel, causing him to suffocate and die.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
