The Zimbabwe Agricultural Society has introduced new measures to improve visitor convenience, strengthen security and enhance child safety ahead of the 116th edition of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show.
The show will run from August 24 to 29 under the theme “Powering Growth: Where Agriculture, Technology and Commerce Converge.”
Speaking at a press conference in Harare on Thursday, ZAS chief executive officer Rufaro Alfred Gunundu said the society had introduced online registration and ticket sales to reduce congestion at entry points.
“As management, we are deliberate about improving the visitor experience. To enhance visitor convenience, we have introduced online registration, online ticket sales, agent ticket sales, additional entry gates, and expanded and more secure parking areas,” Gunundu said.

Security has also been strengthened through the installation and upgrading of CCTV cameras in the Business Hub.
“Security remains a top priority for the Zimbabwe Agricultural Society,” Gunundu said.
He urged parents and guardians to make use of the child tagging programme, which is designed to help reunite children with their families if they become separated.
The show will also feature live performances, including a performance by Jah Prayzah, as well as fireworks displays on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
ZAS is targeting 630 exhibitors occupying 89,000 square metres of exhibition space. So far, 350 local and international exhibitors have confirmed participation, booking 66,000 square metres.
The exhibition will feature conferences focused on agriculture, technology, business, artificial intelligence, ESG and research.
The official opening ceremony is scheduled for August 28, 2026.
