South African President Cyril Ramaphosa will officially open the 115th edition of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show in Harare on Friday.

The week-long event, which began on Monday and runs until August 30, 2025, is being held under the theme “Building Bridges, Connecting Agriculture, Industry and Commerce.”

Organised around five key sections—Agri-produce, Tobacco, Cotton, Livestock, and Commercial Exhibition—the show has drawn participants from across the region and beyond.

Exhibitors include delegations from South Africa, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Ghana, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palau, and China.

Speaking during Tuesday’s post-Cabinet press briefing, Information Minister Jenfan Muswere said the show has lined up major business and networking events.

These include the Annual National Agribusiness Conference, the Research for Agricultural Excellence and Technology Indaba, the Environmental, Social and Governance Conference, as well as the Zimbabwe Agricultural Media Awards.

Traditional fixtures such as the Golf Tournament, ZAS Schools Quiz, and Exhibitors’ Cocktail are also on the programme.

“The Show will be officially opened by President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa this Friday,” the minister said.

The Zimbabwe Agricultural Show, the country’s largest annual trade exhibition, has long been regarded as a key platform for investment, innovation, and cross-sectoral collaboration.
