Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding highlighted the positive trend in a recent post, noting that China remains Zimbabwe's largest source market for tourists in Asia.
"China is Zimbabwe's largest source market for tourists in Asia. In the first quarter of 2026, over 10,000 Chinese visitors contributed to an 11% year-on-year increase in international arrivals, further cementing Zimbabwe's position among the world's leading tourism destinations.
Beyond tourism revenue and economic gains, cross-border tourism also brings peoples closer and deepens bilateral bonds," said Ambassador Zhou.
His remarks underscore the importance of tourism not only as an economic driver but also as a powerful tool for strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between nations.
