TelOne FC head coach Herbert “Jampano” Marowa is hoping to secure his first win of the 2026 season when the WiFi Boys face Chicken Inn at Ascot Stadium on Saturday, April 11.
The Gweru-based side has endured a difficult start to the campaign, particularly at home. In six matches played so far this season, TelOne are yet to record a victory at their own venue. Their struggles include a 2–1 defeat to Dynamos, a 1–0 loss to Simba Bhora, and a narrow 3–2 defeat to Scottland. The disappointing run has left the team still searching for their first home win of the season.
Despite the poor results, Marowa remains optimistic that his side is moving in the right direction ahead of the clash with Chicken Inn.

“It’s been a bad spell, but as a team we are moving in the right direction and we have to win against Chicken Inn,” said Marowa.
The match will also see Marowa come up against Chicken Inn head coach Tonderai Ndiraya, who guided Scottland to the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title before taking over at the Bulawayo-based club.
Chicken Inn head into the fixture in a stronger position on the league table. They currently sit in seventh place with two wins, four draws and one defeat. TelOne, meanwhile, are placed 15th after recording three draws and three losses so far this season.
However, Chicken Inn will be without Vassilli Kawe for the encounter as the player is suspended.
