
Korfball is continuing to surge in popularity across Zimbabwe following a successful demonstration at the recent TESAR Games held at the Westgate Industrial Training Centre in Bulawayo.
The showcase represents a pivotal step in integrating the sport into tertiary institutions and establishing a robust foundation for future growth.
Coordinated by Mazvarira, the demonstration highlighted korfball’s unique, inclusive nature. As a mixed-gender sport, teams consist of eight players four men and four women working together to promote equality, strategic play, and teamwork. The event captured the attention of students and officials alike, signalling a burgeoning appreciation for the sport within academic circles.
