Govt assures Nation of fuel Reserves, Says 3-Month Supply Secure

The government has assured Zimbabweans that it has enough fuel reserves to meet demand for the next three months, despite the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Acting Minister of Energy and Power Development, Dr Zhemu Soda, told parliament that storage facilities are stocked and supply contracts with regional partners are intact.

Soda allayed fears of potential shortages and price hikes, saying the government has taken steps to safeguard fuel supply. However, he cautioned that pricing would be influenced by market forces if disruptions occur. Legislators had raised concerns about supply stability and potential price increases due to the Middle East conflict.
