A 21-year-old Epworth man has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing at a Harare nightclub, police told the court.
Menard Matasva appeared at the Harare Magistrates’ Court facing allegations that he stabbed a man in the neck during an altercation outside a nightclub in the early hours of December 13, 2025.
The court heard that the victim and his friends had left Ligi Night Club and proceeded to Chigs Nite Club at around 2am. While at the venue, the victim reportedly went outside to relieve himself, where he was allegedly confronted by Matasva and other accomplices.

During the confrontation, the victim was stabbed once in the neck.
He was later taken to ZRP Epworth, where the matter was reported, before being referred to Parirenyatwa Hospital for medical treatment.
The victim succumbed to his injuries the following day while admitted at the hospital.
