The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe has launched a nationwide graduate recruitment drive, inviting applications for its 2026–2028 Graduate Trainee Programme as it looks to groom the next generation of central banking professionals.
The two-year program targets high-performing first-class graduates across a wide range of disciplines with a strong tilt towards data, risk, and systems with the inclusion of data analytics, statistics, mathematics, IT, software engineering, and information systems.
Equally notable is the emphasis on risk management, financial intelligence, and law, suggesting heightened attention to compliance, illicit financial flows, sanctions exposure, and the integrity of the financial system, areas that have come under growing regional and global scrutiny.

Also worth noting is the inclusion of engineering trades and technical diplomas, including refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical disciplines.
This hints at a push to strengthen in-house infrastructure capacity, reduce outsourcing costs, and modernize physical and digital systems across the bank.
According to the advert, successful candidates will undergo structured training, mentorship, and rotational exposure across key RBZ departments, with a strong emphasis on analytical ability, integrity, communication skills, and computer proficiency.
Applications close on 6 January 2026, with submissions to be made via email to the RBZ’s Human Resources Directorate.
