The situation turned violent when the goat owner, accompanied by a neighbour, confronted Guzha. In an attempt to flee, Guzha stabbed the complainant on the left shoulder with an okapi knife.

He was also found in possession of the same knife and a catapult at the time of the offence.

Guzha was convicted on all three counts. Although the court ruled that the new sentences would run concurrently, a previously suspended five-month sentence was also activated, bringing his total effective imprisonment to 10 months.
