Two Harare men, both directors of Voltsynergy Investments, have appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Court facing charges of theft of trust property involving electrical cables valued at US$32,330.09.
The accused are Sly Bongani Nyamazana ,35, of Plainview, Tynwald South, and Nobert Dokwani ,34, of Kuwadzana 6. The complainant is their company, Voltsynergy Investments, represented by co-director Sandra Chido Ndoro (35) of Crowhill, Borrowdale.
According to the State, the complainant and the two accused co-founded Voltsynergy Investments in April 2025. Problems allegedly began on July 1, 2025, when Nyamazana reportedly took 100 metres of 70mm x 4 SWA cable, claiming he needed it to supply a client in Borrowdale. He allegedly failed to remit any payment to the company.
On October 23, 2025, the complainant received a WhatsApp message from an individual identifying himself as Prosper, demanding payment for various cables. Investigations revealed that Voltsynergy had not conducted any such transaction.

Further inquiries established that Union Hardware — the company purported to have handled the deal — had no record of any business with Voltsynergy.
A deeper probe suggested that the supposed client was fictitious and linked to Dokwani, who allegedly admitted to using Union Hardware’s name to acquire stock through an “anonymous” customer.
Nyamazana later confessed that he joined the company while already in debt and admitted to converting company stock to personal use. The stolen property, mainly electrical cables, was allegedly sold by the two directors for personal gain.
The matter was reported to the police on October 24, leading to the arrest of both accused. None of the stolen goods or proceeds have been recovered.
Nyamazana and Dokwani are expected back in court on December 16 for routine remand.
