The 22nd Chinese medical team in Zimbabwe undertook a six-hour journey from their base in Harare to provide essential healthcare services at Sabi Star Mine in Buhera on October 23 and 24.
The team of medical specialists established a temporary medical facility and provided comprehensive medical services to approximately 200 patients over two days.
The team conducted health screenings across multiple specialties, with particular focus on conditions prevalent in mining communities.
Respiratory specialists performed dust-related lung examinations and demonstrated proper use of protective equipment.

The traditional Chinese medicine section attracted significant interest, offering acupuncture and cupping therapies. The team also introduced Baduanjin exercises, demonstrating traditional Chinese approaches to maintaining health and wellness.

Beyond direct medical consultations, the program included practical health education sessions. Medical personnel conducted first responder training, teaching emergency response techniques to mine workers. The team also donated medical supplies to support the mine's ongoing healthcare needs.
