A 70-year-old man from Glaudina Park is fighting for his life after being brutally attacked by his 27-year-old son in a shocking late-night incident.
The victim, David Godfrey Mlilo, survived the assault by pretending to be dead after his son, Prince Nqobile Mlilo, allegedly struck him multiple times with a brick.
Prince appeared before Magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa facing attempted murder charges and was remanded in custody until November 5.
According to prosecutor Rufaro Chonzi, the attack occurred on October 13, 2025, when both father and son were at their home in Glaudina.
Earlier that evening, David had asked his son to take some medication after he complained of a headache.
