
Zimbabwe has announced its 22-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and South Africa, with a big boost coming from the appointment of former Warriors legend Kaitano Tembo as second assistant coach under head coach Michael Nees.
In goal, the Warriors will depend on Washington Arubi (Marumo Gallants), Elvis Chipezeze (Magezi), and Martin Mapisa (MWOS FC) to provide safe hands.
The defense will be led by Gerald Takwara (Al-Ittihad Misurata), Munashe Sashikadze (FC Cincinnati), Godknows Murwira (Scotland FC), Emmanuel Jalisi (Scotland FC), Jordan Zemura, and veteran Justice Calico.
