Zimbabwe Republic Police have arrested two bouncers following the clip that has gone viral on social media showing the two causing trouble at a Harare night spot.

A source confirmed to Zim Now that Gideon Sanyangore and Blessing Kumunda both of Highfields were arrested this morning and are currently detained at Borrowdale Police Station.

The two are likely to appear in court tomorrow (Friday) or the day after.

Police spokesperson Paul Nyathi on Monday told Zim Now that the bouncers are facing charges of public violence and possession of dangerous weapons after one them pulled out a knife and stabbed someone during the fracas. Police confirmed the stabbing saying the victim had sustained a minor injury.

Reports on social media indicate that the two are part of a mafia gang terrorizing revelers and event organisers in Harare.

Condemnation of their actions had been loud with calls for the law to step in and stop their reign of terror.
