Fertiliser manufacturer Windmill (Pvt) Ltd has issued a fraud alert warning the public against purchasing stands on its land in Westgate, Harare, which is being illegally marketed under the name Tsikwi Phase 1 (Westgate Extension).
In a statement, the company said it is the lawful owner of Lot FA Kinvara, measuring 65.2436 hectares, and that individuals including Aspire Mutingwende, Taremedzwa Kapungu, and their associates—operating through Redrev (Pvt) Ltd and other fronts—were unlawfully selling residential stands on the property.
“These individuals are land barons and have no legal authority to sell, allocate, or advertise this land on behalf of Windmill,” the company said.
On 7 August 2025, the High Court of Zimbabwe issued an urgent order (Case No. HCH3919/25) directing Kapungu and all associates to vacate the property immediately. The Sheriff of Zimbabwe has been authorised to enforce the eviction should they fail to comply.
Windmill warned that any transactions involving these individuals are null and void, exposing unsuspecting home seekers and investors to serious financial loss and legal disputes.
The company added that it is working with the Zimbabwe Republic Police, the Sheriff, and other authorities to enforce the court order and protect the public from fraudulent schemes.
