Sakunda Holdings issued a public alert regarding a surge in fake social media accounts falsely claiming to represent Kudakwashe Tagwirei.
The company made it clear that Dr. Tagwirei is not on any social media platforms at this time and has not authorized any individual or entity to speak on his behalf online.
The company stressed that Tagwirei does not currently own, operate, or control any accounts on platforms such as X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or any other social media service. Any profiles or pages suggesting otherwise are completely fraudulent.
“These pages are being used to spread false information and, in some cases, scam people out of their money,” the release read.
However, the statement also confirmed that Tagwirei is in the process of establishing his official social media presence. According to Sakunda, legitimate accounts will soon be launched on X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Once this process is complete, the company promises to make an official announcement through reliable and trusted channels.
In the meantime, the public is encouraged to report any suspicious pages or impersonation attempts directly to the respective platforms. Sakunda called on everyone to help combat misinformation and online fraud by working collectively to flag these fake profiles.
