Award-winning artist Nutty O is preparing to release his latest single, “Rock and Roll”, a feel-good track designed to spread love and positivity during difficult times.

The song, set to drop on Tuesday, July 8, will mark the singer’s second solo project of the year and continues his journey of using music as a force for healing and connection. With his signature Afro-dancehall sound, “Rock and Roll” is expected to blend upbeat rhythms with a reflective message calling for unity, compassion, and hope.

“This song is about love—real love,” Nutty O said ahead of the release. “In the middle of everything happening around us, I want my music to remind people that love still wins.”

“Rock and Roll” will arrive at a time when Nutty O’s star continues to rise both locally and internationally. Known for his energetic stage presence and genre-bending style, the artist—real name Carrington Simbarashe Chiwadzwa—has been steadily building a global following since launching his professional career in 2013.

He made headlines in 2018 when he featured on the Grammy-nominated Jamaican album Reggae Forever by Etana. His 2021 debut album Mustard Seed was a commercial and critical success, sweeping awards in 2022, including Best Album, Song of the Year, and Outstanding Album of the Year

He also walked away with Best Male Artist and Outstanding Male Artist trophies at both the ZIMAs and NAMAs.

In 2023, Nutty O made history once again when he featured on Africa Unite, a posthumous Bob Marley album reimagined with African artists—a milestone that further cemented his status as one of Zimbabwe’s leading music exports.

Now operating under his own label, ABX (Ability Xtention), Nutty O has focused on creating music that uplifts and empowers. “Rock and Roll” is a continuation of that mission.
