Schweppes Holdings Africa Limited has appointed Stanley M. Muchenje as its new Managing Director, effective May 1, 2025. The announcement was made in an official notice released by the company’s Board, chaired by V. L. Ndlovu.
His appointment comes after the retirement of long serving MD, Charles Msipa at the start of the month.
Muchenje brings nearly three decades of experience in the beverages industry, having joined Delta Beverages in 1997 where he served in senior roles across Sales, Distribution, and Marketing. He holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Hons), qualifications from IMM, an MPhil in Marketing, and has completed the Accelerated Leadership Development Program at the SAB Miller/Gordon Institute.
Prior to his latest appointment, Muchenje was the Managing Director of African Distillers since 2021, where he is credited with steering key growth strategies.
The Schweppes board praised Muchenje’s leadership credentials and expressed confidence in his ability to drive the company forward. “The Board, Management and Staff of Schweppes Holdings Africa Limited extend their congratulations to Stanley on his appointment and wish him success in his new role,” the statement read.
Schweppes Holdings Africa Limited, a leading non-alcoholic beverages manufacturer, is expected to benefit from Muchenje’s strong industry insight and strategic leadership.
