A member of a gang that robbed a man at the corner of Samora Machel Avenue and 6th Street in Harare has appeared in court.
Takudzwa Milton Munyanyi, 22, appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Courts facing robbery charges.
The State alleges that on December 14, at around 1850 hours, at corner Samora Machel and 6th Street in Harare, Munyanyi and his other two accomplices - who are still at large -approached the complainant dragged him to a dark place.
They searched him, assaulted him with fists and stabbed him with an unknown object on the left hand, stole his iPhone 11, smart watch, US$10 and a cap.
The total value of the stolen items was US$600 and a phone with a value of US$450 was recovered.
He was remanded in custody.
