Kundai Francis Tibugare, a partner at accounting firm Grant Thornton Zimbabwe and corporate rescue practitioner for Telecel Zimbabwe, is facing a US$200,000 adultery lawsuit filed by veteran journalist Musorowegomo Mukosi.
The lawsuit, spearheaded by prominent attorney Admire Rubaya, accuses Tibugare of destroying Mukosi’s nine-year marriage by engaging in an extra-marital affair with his wife, Esther Vimbainashe Mukosi.
According to legal papers, Mukosi a former Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) reporter claims to have accumulated extensive evidence tracking the alleged affair across domestic and international locations. The evidence reportedly includes flight itineraries, call logs, cell tower triangulation data, and CCTV footage.
The legal demand alleges that the pair undertook secret trips together, including a trip to South Africa from July 15 to July 19, 2026, and a getaway to Madagascar from September 21 to September 24, 2026. During the Madagascar trip, the duo reportedly shared a room at the Ibis Antananarivo Ankorondrano hotel, while Esther had allegedly told her husband she was traveling to Tanzania on accounting consultancy business.

"Our client advises that his wife has made it clear to him that you and her are soul mates... She has boasted that you are a partner at Grant Thornton Zimbabwe... such that you have the necessary financial muscle to take her away from him as your second wife," the legal letter reads, further accusing Tibugare of claiming to be "untouchable" due to high-level connections.
