PAP to host 3rd session of 6th Parly

The Pan-African Parliament will host the third ordinary session of the sixth Parliament on October 16 to 18, 2023.

In a letter directed to the Clerk of Parliament, Lindiwe Khumalo, the Director of Bureau, Emmanuel Afedor said, the main motive of the session was on the elections of vacant positions in the Bureau.

“The main Agenda for the session would be elections to fill the vacant posts within the PAP Bureau for: 1. President, 2. 1st Vice President and, 3. 4th Vice President as per Articles 11, 12 and 13 of the Protocol to the Treaty Establishing the African Economic Community Relating to the Pan-African Parliament.

“This is to therefore ask you, per the instruction of the Acting President, to implement the collective decision taken during the meeting and based on the Protocol prepare for the holding of the Session on the dates above,” he said.

The Pan-African Parliament, is also known as the African Parliament.
