A Mbare man who is alleged to have struck another with a stone following a misunderstanding has appeared in court.
Tigere Chitanda, 49, of Mbare appeared before magistrate Stanford Mambanje at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts accused of attempted murder.
The State, through prosecutor Tawanda Nyandoro, alleges that, on May 9, at Corner Bank Street and Chinhoyi, Chitanda assaulted the complainant by assaulted him by striking him once with a stone after a misunderstanding.
The complainant sustained some head injuries and was ferried to the hospital while bleeding from the head and was admitted.
Chitanda was denied bail, he will appear in court on June 2 for bail.
Meanwhile, Kudakwashe Chadzimira, 37, of Glen View 7 appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Courts accused of attempted murder.
The State, through prosecutor Tawanda Nyandoro, alleges that, on May 29, Chadzimira stabbed the complainant once with a knife on the back of the neck after a misunderstanding.
The complainant went to the hospital and got treated and was discharged.
Mambanje denied Chadzimira bail.
