A man who drew a knife during a fight after realising that he was not winning has been denied bail.
Norbet Chiyangwa, 47, of New Mabvuku, appeared before magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa at the Harare Magistrates' Courts facing attempted murder charges.
The complainant in the matter is Peter Jimu of Mabvuku.
The State alleges that on August 27, at around 1630 hours, Chiyangwa and Jimu were involved in a misunderstanding.
They ended fighting and Jimu appeared to be overpowering Chiyangwa.
Chiyangwa pulled out an okapi knife from his pocket and allegedly stabbed Jimu twice in the stomach,
leaving him nursing wounds.
Chiyangwa was ordered to appear in court on September 15 for bail application.
