An 18-year-old lady was stripped naked and robbed of her clothes and cellphone by an unidentified man while she was walking on a footpath in Tshabalala suburb, Bulawayo.
The suspect introduced himself to the 18-year-old as a policeman.
Bulawayo provincial police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the incident and warned members of the community against using secluded pathways.
“We would like to discourage members of the public from walking along footpaths as they are a haven for criminals and they would be putting their lives at risk," he said.
