A self-proclaimed prophet was arrested by the police after committing a series of rape in December 2020.
The 35-year-old suspect raped a 15-year-old on several occasions and threatened her with misfortunes.
Meanwhile, a 37-year-old man was arrested for murdering Herbert Javangwe, 69, on January 5 at Plot 21, Midland Village, near in Sandringham in Mashonaland West Province.
The accused, Admire Muchengi, reportedly hit Javangwe with a wooden log for unknown reasons.
In a similar case, the police are investigating a case of murder in which the victim, Kennedy Lovemore, 24, died upon admission at a local hospital.
Lovemore was found bleeding with a deep stab wound on the shoulder along a footpath opposite Koala Park Abattoir, Retreat Farm, in Waterfalls, Harare.
