Winky D to headline 2026 Castle Lager Braai

Dancehall super star Winky D is set to headline this year’s Castle Lager Braai Day Festival when the popular event returns to Glamis Arena in Harare on October 17.

The reggae-dancehall star will lead a line-up of more than 10 local artists and DJs at the festival, with Ex Q and Enzo Ishall also featuring among the country’s established performers. Rising acts including Jnr Spragga, Atenda Chinx and DJ Loz are also expected to take the stage.

The return of the festival comes as Castle Lager seeks to combine live music with Zimbabwe’s enduring braai culture, creating an entertainment experience centred on food, music and socialising.

“The festival will bring friends together for a memorable celebration of music, braai culture and shared experiences,” Delta Beverages said.

This year’s event will also introduce the “Castle Braai O’Clock” activation, running from 3pm to 4pm. The segment will feature an ultimate braai master contest alongside other competitions, giving festival-goers a chance to win Castle Lager merchandise and other prizes.

The festival will be preceded by nationwide trade activations at popular braai venues, where consumers will have opportunities to win tickets, chilled Castle Lager and other prizes ahead of the main event.
