A man from Epworth has appeared in court over accusations of fondling breasts of a teenager.
Paladine Mandawala, 23, of Epworth was at the Harare Magistrates' Court accused of indecent assault violating Section 67 of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act, Chapter 9:23.
The complainant in the matter is a minor aged 15.
The state alleges that on January 9, 2023, in Epworth, Mandawala fondled the complainant's breast without her consent.
A police report was made leading to the arrest of Mandawala.
In his defense, Mandawala said the allegations were false.
"We were bypassing each other. I did not do it," he said.
Mandawala was before magistrate Dennis Mangosi who deferred the case to March 24 and granted Mandawala ZWL$20 000 bail.
