Harare City head coach Try Ncube has emphasized the importance of mental toughness and relentless consistency following his team's hard-fought 1-0 victory over CP Chemicals at Gwanzura Stadium.
The narrow midweek win kept the Sunshine Boys firmly within touching distance of the top spot in the Northern Region Soccer League (NRSL), even as runaway leaders Black Rhinos maintain a five-point buffer at the summit with a crucial game in hand.
Addressing reporters shortly after the final whistle at Gwanzura, Ncube embraced the high-stakes pressure surrounding the promotion race, refusing to downplay the mental toll of chasing the leaders.

"Yeah, football is pressure. We cannot lie and say there is no pressure. The pressure is there," Ncube stated. "But we are not with Black Rhinos alone. This is Northern Region, my friend. It's very hard to say. It's a strong league. There will be more twists and turns. The most important thing is for us to have the consistency in getting the results."
While CP Chemicals made life difficult for the hosts, Harare City managed to secure all three points through a disciplined defensive display and efficient execution. The victory ensures Harare City stays put in the elite chasing pack as the second-tier division enters a decisive stretch.
Ncube believes the title race will come down to who copes best with unpredictable results down the stretch.
