Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) Chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani has hailed Sikandar Raza as a "tremendous servant of Zimbabwe cricket" after the all-rounder became the country's most capped international player.
Raza made his 314th international appearance during Zimbabwe's third and final T20 International against Bangladesh at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Sunday, surpassing former captain Hamilton Masakadza's record of 313 international matches.
The achievement carries added significance as Raza made his Zimbabwe debut against Bangladesh at the same venue in May 2013, bringing his international journey full circle more than 13 years later.
"On behalf of the Zimbabwe Cricket Board, our players, staff, stakeholders and the entire cricket family, I extend our heartfelt congratulations to Sikandar Raza on becoming Zimbabwe's most capped international cricketer," said Mukuhlani.
"To represent your country even once is a privilege. To do so 314 times is an extraordinary accomplishment and a reflection of Sikandar's exceptional skill, professionalism, resilience and remarkable longevity at the highest level."
Mukuhlani said Raza had served Zimbabwean cricket with distinction for more than a decade.
"For well over a decade, he has been a tremendous servant of Zimbabwe cricket, inspiring teammates and supporters alike through his performances, his fighting spirit and the pride with which he has represented our country."
He added that Raza's achievements had elevated Zimbabwe's reputation in world cricket while motivating young players.

Raza's rise to become Zimbabwe's most capped international cricketer is more than a personal milestone. It reflects a career that has helped redefine Zimbabwean cricket over the past decade through consistency, leadership and performances that have earned global recognition.
He has established himself as one of Zimbabwe's most successful all-rounders across all three international formats, having played 22 Test matches, 156 One-Day Internationals and 136 Twenty20 Internationals since making his debut.
Earlier this month, Raza became only the fifth Zimbabwean to score 9,000 international runs across all formats.
He is also the first player from an ICC Full Member nation to score more than 3,000 T20 International runs and claim 100 T20I wickets, underlining his impact as one of the game's leading all-rounders.
His list of achievements also includes becoming Zimbabwe's first T20 International centurion after scoring an unbeaten 133 against Gambia, the country's first player to reach 5,000 career T20 runs and one of the few Zimbabweans to reach the top of the ICC rankings as the world's number one ODI and T20I all-rounder.
Raza has also become one of Zimbabwe's most sought-after franchise players, winning titles in leagues around the world while earning Zimbabwe's Sportsperson of the Year award in both 2023 and 2025.
