A man, who is being accused of stealing 42 bricks, has appeared before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi, who ordered him to come back to court on January 30, 2023, for bail application.
Benjamin Risinamhodzi, 35, was facing theft charges at the Harare Magistrates' Court.
The State alleges that on January 26, 2023, Risinamhodzi who is out on bail on another charge of theft, stole a total of 42 bricks belonging to Chloride Zimbabwe. He used a scotch cart to carry the bricks away.
In his defence, Risinamhodzi said: “I wanted to collect the bricks to a one big heap so that l could sell them later,” he said.
Risinamhodzi was later arrested by the members of the public in the middle of the night while trying to enter a Zesa green box transformer. He tried to run away but to no avail.
